dancing with the moonlight reflecting life in shadow,
mirrors of our soul cast back the love we seek,
ages bound to honor with trust the tie that binds,
searching for our selves amid the ether timeless,
dancing with the moonlight lucent dreams disolve,
rapture leaps before us chasing the abstract heart,
love so deep to drown in pools of liquid faith,
both feet wet from jumping into love so blind,
dancing with the moonlight lust to hide our fears,
carry me in bosom protect and nuture strong,
hand to hand guidance afraid to ask for more,
taken never given shelter the fragile heart,
dancing with the moonlight darkness settles in,
touch the sense tingles blurry come my eyes,
tenderly you see it my love speaks thru my tears,
healing heart beats keeping track of time.
*editorial*
this poem to me reflects our lives and how we seak
to find love and acceptance in everyone we meet, but
that we dont always give it back in the terms with
which we expect it given ( total and unconditonal ).
and we run from love to love seeking that which was
already there to be given by our parents and grandparents,
and we spend our whole lives searching for this thing
thats always been there in front of us all along, and
we dont usually see it until they are near death or dead,
and that at least with a potentially near death event,
you get the chance to see it and reflect it back to that
person, and show them that you get it, and that you realize
they were there for you all the time, even when you didn't
want to see it, and now its your turn to return it. Thats
about as close as I can get to explaining it, although I
could expand on it point by point (line by line). Theres
a little more to it than that, but that pretty much sums it up.
