Welcome back to another amazing school year! We are so thrilled to announce that Wordplay is now partnering with 10+ private schools in San Diego.

We're also excited to share that, thanks to our growing practice, our clinic is moving to a beautiful new home within 10 minutes of our current location! Free Speech, Language, and Literacy Assessments

As always, Wordplay is proud to offer every new family a free assessment at your child’s school or at our clinic. Please complete the registration form below to secure your child’s free assessment.

Speech-Language Therapy

  • One-on-One Speech Therapy (30 minutes) — $90
    Individualized, direct therapy tailored to your child's specific speech, language, or communication goals for focused, rapid skill-building.

  • Small Group Speech Therapy (30 minutes) — $70
    Targeted therapy in a small group of peers working on similar goals—often a single shared speech sound—for highly focused practice on articulation and phonological skills.

  • NEW — Preschool Small Group Speech Therapy (30 minutes) — $45
    A play-based, high-energy group for early communicators working on speech and language development. Children are carefully matched with peers by ability level and shared speech and language goals to build clarity and confidence in a fun setting.

Targeted Literacy Intervention

All literacy intervention uses the Orton-Gillingham approach, a leading structured-literacy method widely used to support children with dyslexia. Families may begin in either format and transition between group and one-on-one as their child's needs change, based on current level and group availability.

  • Small Group Targeted Literacy Intervention (60 minutes) — $110
    Evidence-based, structured group instruction in decoding, phonemic awareness, and fluency. Students are intentionally grouped by ability level and shared goals for targeted, peer-supported growth—an ideal fit for children ready to maintain their skills with less intensive support.

  • NEW — One-on-One Targeted Literacy Intervention (60 minutes) — $150
    Intensive, fully individualized instruction with tailored pacing and deep diagnostic focus—well suited to students bridging significant reading gaps, or when a group placement isn't the right fit.

    Returning Family Loyalty Rate— Families continuing in one-on-one literacy from the 2025–2026 school year (summer included) receive $135/session; new families enroll at $150.
